Marina Palms Celebrates Opening of its First Tower With a Waterfront Extravaganza

Developers Deliver Phase One of Miami-Dade County’s First Residential/Marina Luxury Complex in over 20 Years

North Miami Beach, FL – Marina Palms Yacht Club & Residences, the first residential and marina development to be constructed in Miami-Dade County in a generation, celebrated the opening of its first tower with an on-site event, Saturday, February 20th in North Miami Beach.

About 500 people – including buyers, brokers and prospects came out to commemorate the milestone and experience life on the water for an afternoon. Several guests arrived by boat and docked in the full-service, 112-slip marina. Future resident and celebrity race car driver Helio Castroneves was on hand to congratulate developers and take part in the festivities.

The Mayor of North Miami Beach, George Vallejo, along with members of the City Council, joined the Marina Palms development team for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Afterwards, many of the guests took advantage of an opportunity to tour the completed north tower and to visit three fully decorated model residences.

“Our vision has now become a reality,” remarked Neil Fairman, president of The Plaza Group who is co-developing Marina Palms with The DevStar Group. “We wanted to be able to provide buyers a waterfront residence that put the South Florida yachting and boating lifestyle right outside their front doors. That’s exactly what we did.”

“Marina Palms has opened the door to future development and upgraded the skyline of North Miami Beach,” said Mayor Vallejo.  “The developers of Marina Palms were some of the first who saw the potential of what the city has to offer.”

The sales center, which overlooks the marina, was the focal point for much of the day’s activities. Guests sampled delicious Italian hors d’ oeuvres and sipped fine wine supplied by Laurenzo’s Italian Market & Café. Heaven Hill Brands prepared a signature cocktail that complemented the marina-life theme. Guests were also treated to a spectacular jet packing show by Aqua Jet in the marina basin while gazing at sleek yachts in the background and enjoying live instrumentals on the pool deck. The Marina Palms Yacht Club & Residences Boat Club displayed some of its offerings to residents and G-Marine provided some of the yachts on display. The South Florida Luxury Guide was the exclusive media partner.

Located on the water at 172nd Street and Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami Beach, Marina Palms features two, 25-story towers with a combined 468 residences. The north tower is sold out; the south tower, which is already 80 percent sold, is well under construction and expected to be completed in late 2016.

Designed for vessels up to 100 feet in length, the full-service marina and a private boat club allow residents to experience an unparalleled waterfront lifestyle at one South Florida’s most sought after addresses. The marina has a full-time dock master, dock hands and a yacht concierge to arrange vessel cleaning and maintenance, provisioning and even entertainment planning. Along with an on-site fuel station and sundry store, the 112 slips are also wired with electricity and fiber optic cabling for voice, data, and high-speed Internet service from dockside pedestals for each vessel.

Every two- three- and four-bedroom residence and penthouse offers luxury finishes, white glove services and an expansive array of amenities including butler service, an infinity-edge pool and hot tub, a state-of-the-art gym, a spa with treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and workout studios, a news café, a club room with bar, pool table and 100-inch TV, poker table, children’s playroom and teen lounge. The development will have secure, gated-access with 24-7 security, valet service and a personalized e-concierge system known as MP Connect.

Available residences start at $950,000.
